Bodegas Care is the brainchild of fourth-generation grape growers with an obsession: they want to create quality modern Spanish wines that are great value for money. Winemaker Óscar Martínez hails from Basque country and has worked with Tempranillo on big-name Rioja brands. Now his focus is producing world-class Garnacha and Carignan (known locally as Cariñena). This is intensely aromatic, with hints of white flowers, citrus and herbs. It’s balanced, exotic and elegant – with freshness and structure. The length is long and rich too.
